p Senior SEND Assessment Review Officer /p p br /p p strong Location: /strong Fully Remote /p p strong Contract: /strong Initial 4-month contract /p p strong Hours: /strong 37 hours per week /p p strong Rate: /strong £369 per day (Umbrella) /p p br /p p The Opportunity /p p Were working with a strong South West Local Authority /strong seeking an experienced strong Senior SEND Assessment Review Officer /strong to join its SEND Assessment and Review Team. /p p This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND professional looking for a role that combines strong strategic oversight, quality assurance, complex case management and staff support /strong . /p p Working within a high-performing team, youll play a key role in ensuring statutory responsibilities are delivered effectively and within legal timescales while helping to drive continuous improvement across the service. /p p br /p p Key Responsibilities /p ul li Monitor and track EHC needs assessments, annual reviews, reassessments and phase transfers to ensure statutory compliance. /li li Identify delays, risks and barriers to case progression and take appropriate action to resolve them. /li li Provide guidance, support and coaching to Assessment and Reviewing Officers managing complex cases. /li li Promote accountability by monitoring performance and ensuring cases progress appropriately. /li li Undertake quality assurance activities across EHC plans, casework and decision-making. /li li Manage a small caseload of complex, sensitive or high-profile cases. /li li Work collaboratively with families, schools, health and social care professionals to secure positive outcomes for children and young people. /li li Support managers with service improvement initiatives, performance monitoring and reporting. /li /ul p br /p p Essential Requirements /p ul li Significant experience working within SEND statutory services. /li li Extensive experience managing EHCPs and statutory SEND processes. /li li Strong knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice. /li li Experience managing complex SEND casework. /li li Previous experience supporting, mentoring or advising colleagues. /li li Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. /li li The ability to analyse information, make informed decisions and consistently meet statutory deadlines. /li /ul p br /p p Desirable Experience /p ul li Quality assurance experience. /li li Team leadership or supervisory experience. /li li A relevant qualification in education, SEND, social care or a related field. /li /ul p br /p p Why Apply? /p ul li Fully remote working. /li li Competitive daily rate of strong £369 (Umbrella) /strong . /li li Initial strong 4-month contract /strong with a strong 37-hour working week /strong . /li li The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with SEND. /li li A varied senior role combining operational delivery, quality assurance and team support. /li /ul p br /p p If youre an experienced SEND professional looking for your next local authority contract, wed love to hear from you. /p p Apply today for further information. /p
