Senior Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own meaningful parts of the product from requirements to release, shaping design and delivering robust software that interacts with real hardware in extreme environments. You’ll collaborate closely with the Firmware team to ensure end-to-end integration and performance, while embracing modern tools and techniques to boost team output. This position offers hands-on impact in a global, R&D-focused engineering business with growth opportunities. You will be expected to challenge requirements and defend your design decisions to deliver tangible, real-world outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software features from requirements through testing and support
• Defend and refine designs in code reviews
• Collaborate with Firmware team for cross-discipline integration
• Leverage modern C#/.NET toolchain and containerised services
• Introduce improvements with new tools and techniques when beneficial

Key requirements

• Strong experience with C#, .NET and Visual Studio
• Background in C/C++, or embedded software/firmware
• Familiarity with containerisation, web applications and database design
• Comfort estimating, documenting and defending own designs
