Senior Solution Engineer - Global Accounts

Overview

In this Senior Solution Engineer role, you own the end-to-end technical relationship with a single strategic global financial services account, guiding use-case expansion and acting as the trusted advisor to CTOs and engineering leadership.

You will build compelling architectures, live demos, and PoCs that connect Snowflake capabilities to FS data and AI priorities. You’ll translate complex regulatory and data requirements into production-ready Snowflake solutions while collaborating across teams to accelerate adoption.

This is a high-visibility, global role that shapes how Snowflake delivers value in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical relationship with a single strategic Global Account in financial services
• Design and deliver solution architectures, demos, and executive presentations
• Lead PoC engagements in risk analytics, regulatory data platforms, real-time fraud detection, and AI/ML workloads
• Serve as the subject matter expert on financial services data architecture and regulatory requirements
• Partner with Account Executive to co-develop the joint success plan and ensure technical alignment
• Coordinate with Product, Professional Services, Support, and Engineering to unblock adoption
• Mentor and develop junior Solution Engineers to raise technical standards
• Act as internal advocate for the account across Snowflake to accelerate outcomes

Key requirements

• 8+ years in pre-sales solution engineering, technical consulting, or data engineering in enterprise B2B tech
• Deep FS data use case knowledge including risk management, regulatory reporting (Basel, MiFID II, GDPR), market data, fraud analytics, and AI/ML for credit and customer intelligence
• Hands-on expertise with cloud data platforms, ideally Snowflake, with ability to architect and demo enterprise-grade solutions
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data engineering tools (dbt, Spark, Kafka or equivalent)
• Excellent executive communication with CDO/CTO/CIO audiences
• Track record leading complex technical evaluations and winning PoCs
• Experience using AI/LLM-based tools in technical workflows and articulating Cortex AI in an FS context
