Senior Structural Engineer

Overview

In this role you will deliver structural engineering services on building and heavy civil projects, leading analyses and designs with minimal supervision. You will prepare technical specifications and supervise graduates and technicians, while engaging with clients and managing project tasks. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary Structures team on defence and commercial schemes, contributing to safe, compliant, and impactful designs. Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering services on building/heavy civil projects with minimal supervision
• Prepare technical specifications and contribute to project documentation
• Assist with commercial and financial control of projects
• Inspect and assess building/civil structures
• Supervise Graduate Engineers and Direct Technicians to ensure quality drawing work
• Report writing and production of technical reports and documents

Key requirements

• Ability to deliver design solutions and assessment calculations
• Experience leading projects or acting as project lead with client interaction
• Strong communication skills and motivation
• Background in software analysis and high technical proficiency
• Ability to obtain MOD security clearance
• Driving license and willingness to travel; knowledge of Eurocode Standards
• Experience on heavy civil projects and/or seismically qualified structures (advantage)
