Senior Town Planner

Overview

As a Senior Town Planner at AECOM, you will lead planning work on major infrastructure and development projects within the energy, rail, and water sectors. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver planning applications, feasibility studies, and consent strategies, underpinning a national planning practice. You will engage with local authorities and stakeholders to secure approvals and contribute to tender-winning proposals. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver major development applications with interdisciplinary teams
• Support project management and ensure quality and safety standards
• Provide planning advice on consent requirements and permitted development rights
• Conduct planning research, feasibility work, and develop consent strategies
• Draft Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements; manage applications and stakeholder liaison
• Collaborate with Environmental Impact Assessment team and participate in meetings
• Contribute to commercial tenders and business development activities
• Perform planning research and analysis to support consent strategies

Key requirements
