Senior Planner Location: Bristol (minimum 3 days per week in the office) Salary: Competitive Type: Full-time The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Planner to join a growing Planning team in the South West. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while playing a key role in client management, project delivery, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the continued growth of the regional business.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage planning applications, appeals, and strategic planning projects. Provide clear and commercially focused planning advice to clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
Support business development activities and identify opportunities to win new work. Mentor and develop junior planners, providing guidance and technical support. Prepare high-quality reports, planning statements, and representations.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver successful outcomes. About You MRTPI qualified. Experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or development environment. Strong technical planning expertise and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Good knowledge of the South West planning market and policy landscape. Commercially aware with an interest in networking and business development. A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting and mentoring junior colleagues.
