Senior Transport Planner Location: London Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Working Pattern: Hybrid We are working with an established transport planning consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Transport Planner to join its London team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced transport planner looking to take the next step in their career, working across a varied portfolio of development-led projects while gaining further responsibility for client management, project delivery and mentoring junior colleagues.

The Role As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be involved in delivering transport planning advice across a range of development schemes throughout London and the wider South East.

Your responsibilities will include

Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans. Providing transport planning advice to clients, developers, architects and planning consultants. Undertaking and analysing traffic, parking and transport data.

Carrying out trip generation, distribution and traffic impact assessments. Preparing technical reports and supporting planning applications. Liaising with local authorities, TfL and other key stakeholders. Attending client meetings, site visits and planning meetings.

Managing projects from inception through to completion. Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team. Assisting with fee proposals, bids and wider business development activities. Working closely with colleagues across transport planning, highways and other disciplines.

About You We are looking for someone with: 4+ years' experience within a transport planning consultancy or similar environment. Strong experience delivering development-led transport planning projects. Proven experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.

Good understanding of transport planning policy at local, regional and national levels. Experience working with London boroughs and/or Transport for London. Strong report writing and communication skills. Experience using industry-standard transport planning software and tools.

The ability to manage your own workload and deliver projects to deadlines. Confidence dealing directly with clients and stakeholders. A willingness to support and develop more junior members of the team. Chartered status or working towards chartership would be advantageous but is not essential.
