Senior UCC Engineer

Overview

As a senior UCC engineer at Box, you’ll lead and optimize the global Unified Communications & Collaboration infrastructure. You’ll shape conference room deployments, event support, and telephony integrations while mentoring teammates and driving cross-functional projects. Your work enables seamless collaboration for Boxers worldwide, leveraging AI-enabled decisions and scalable IT processes. This role offers impact across regional offices and strategic improvements to UCC services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on new conference room designs using recent technologies
• Maintain POC relationships with Office Build-out team members
• Vendor management for procurement, engineering collaboration and integration
• Develop automations to scale UCC team processes
• Manage vendor relationships with Zoom, Slack and RingCentral
• Maintain UCC ticket backlog with Jira
• Create/maintain day-to-day support & management documentation
• Maintain inventory and reporting of infrastructure and computing assets

Key requirements

• 5+ years of UCC systems experience in a large-scale enterprise
• Experience with control systems e.g., Crestron, Extron, Logitech, Neat, Zoom, QSC
• Strong cross-departmental technical communication
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including distributed teams
• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Ability to stay current with hardware/software releases
