Server Engineer – SC Cleared Active SC Clearance is required for this position. We're working with a well-established organisation in the Financial Services sector to recruit an experienced Server Engineer to join its infrastructure team.
This role offers the opportunity to support a large-scale Windows server estate while playing a key part in modernisation and infrastructure improvement initiatives. Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite) Required Technology Experience Windows Server: Strong enterprise-level administration and support experience, including building, deploying, maintaining and decommissioning servers.
PowerShell: Strong scripting and automation skills, with experience developing scripts to streamline administration and operational tasks. VMware vSphere: Hands-on experience administering virtual server environments. Hyper-V experience would be advantageous.
Microsoft Infrastructure: Strong practical knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy. Server Security & Lifecycle: Experience with Windows patch management, operating system upgrades, security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
Infrastructure Support: Proven experience troubleshooting and supporting business-critical infrastructure within an enterprise environment. Desirable technology experience: Microsoft Azure, MECM/SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Linux. Responsibilities As a Server Engineer,
