Vehicle Technician - Permanent/Full Time Location: Reading Salary: £37,284 Basic Salary | OTE £46,285 Uncapped Bonus Hours: 45 Hours Per Week, Including Weekends on a Rota Basis Why Apply £37,284 Basic Salary with OTE of £46,285 Uncapped Bonus Additional Earnings Through Time Saved and Team Performance 25 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays, Increasing with Service Manufacturer Training, Including Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Ongoing Technician Accreditation and Career Progression Opportunities Work Alongside an Experienced Master Technician Supportive Workshop Team with Modern Diagnostic Equipment Company Pension and Life Assurance Tool Insurance Staff Discounts on Vehicle Purchases, Servicing and Parts Employee Wellbeing Support Exclusive Retail and Lifestyle Discounts Vehicle Technician Role Carry out vehicle servicing, routine maintenance and mechanical repairs Complete a range of repairs, including oil changes and cambelt replacements Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults Carry out warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards Complete electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) Use modern workshop diagnostic equipment and technical systems Complete digital job cards and accurate repair documentation Identify additional maintenance and repair requirements Work efficiently to achieve workshop productivity and quality standards Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop Vehicle Technician Requirements Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Service Technician Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent Experience carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs Previous experience with warranty repairs would be advantageous Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Confident using workshop diagnostic equipment Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship Strong teamwork skills and willingness to develop technical knowledge MOT Testing Licence advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided How to Apply If you're interested in this Vehicle Technician vacancy in Reading, please submit your CV or contact Octane Recruitment for further information.
