Operating from a modern, high-specification manufacturing facility in Haydock, they supply packaging solutions to leading retailers, major food manufacturers and internationally recognised brands.
The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager to lead production operations on shift within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting into the senior operations team, you will be responsible for managing production performance, leading and developing your team, maintaining high quality standards and ensuring the safe and efficient running of thermoforming production lines.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production leader from a thermoforming, plastics or FMCG manufacturing background who enjoys leading teams and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership Lead, motivate and develop a team of thermoforming machine operators and production personnel. Allocate work effectively to achieve production targets. Recruit, train and coach employees to maximise performance.
Monitor attendance, performance and productivity across the shift. Promote a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture. Production Management Ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and on time.
Monitor machine performance, production output and downtime. Optimise machine settings to improve efficiency and product quality. Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise disruption.
Produce accurate shift reports and update production KPIs. Operate and update the company's ERP system. Quality Ensure products consistently meet customer and internal quality standards. Carry out regular quality inspections throughout production.
Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Health
