What youll do on a typical day: Safely manoeuvre trailers and containers around the yards, using a Tug Shunter vehicle ensuring smooth and efficient site operationsPosition trailers and vehicles ready for loading and unloading, always maintaining yard organisationCarry out daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects, damage or wear and tear promptlyCarry out daily yard checks, recoriding locations and number of trailers and demount boxes available for useWork closely with warehouse, transport and site teams to ensure health and safety procedures and operational requirementOperate counterbalance forklift equipment when required (full training will be provided)What you need to succeed at GXO:A full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlementA valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph CardMinimum of 2 years driving and/or shunting experienceNo more than 6 current penalty pointsNo DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 yearsWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains
