You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our operation by safely moving trailers around the yard, positioning vehicles on loading bays, carrying out inter-depot movements, and supporting operational efficiency at all times.

What You'll Be Doing Safely shunting trailers between designated areas on site. Carrying out inter-depot trailer movements as required. Positioning trailers on loading and unloading bays in line with operational requirements.

Maintaining communication with operational teams using two-way radios. Completing daily vehicle and trailer safety checks. Reporting any defects, damage, accidents, or incidents promptly. Ensuring refrigerated trailers are set to the correct temperatures.

Monitoring fridge diesel levels and ensuring adequate fuel is maintained. Working professionally and collaboratively with colleagues across the site. Reporting breaches of site speed limits by drivers or subcontractors. Maintaining organised parking areas and reporting any site housekeeping issues.

Ensuring high standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained. Working safely and adhering to all company policies and Health & Safety legislation.
