Site Engineer I (Day Engineer)

Overview

In this role you will support reliable data center operations by performing maintenance, testing, and surveillance of critical infrastructure. You’ll work within Site Operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and service levels. You’ll handle on-call incidents and collaborate with engineers to keep systems running efficiently. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to grow through practical training and development.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and maintain operational efficiency
• Assist in maintenance and repair tasks as directed
• Participate in on-call duties and incident management
• Collaborate with other engineers under Site Management
• Maintain proficiency in troubleshooting, maintenance, and systems
• Pursue continuous improvement through training opportunities
• Ensure site cleanliness and escalate gaps
• Work within approved safety processes and risk assessments with best-practice standards

Key requirements

• Some experience in site operations in a critical environment
• City & Guilds level 2 electrical qualification, or equivalent
• Preferably skilled, but at minimum novice in electrotechnical/mechanical systems maintenance
• Fire detection maintenance and suppression knowledge preferred
• Some knowledge of CCTV and Access Control security systems
• HVAC mechanical and/or electrical knowledge preferred
• Problem analysis
