SME Account Handler

Are you an experienced and customer-focused SME Account Handler looking for your next career move? Our client, a well-established and highly respected insurance brokerage, is seeking a driven professional to join their growing team in Halesowen. You'll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) clients, providing expert insurance advice and delivering an outstanding level of service across a range of commercial insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and new business enquiries for SME clients
• Handling a broad range of commercial insurance products, including Property, Liability, Motor Fleet, Professional Indemnity, and Package policies
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact
• Liaising with insurers to negotiate favourable terms, coverage, and pricing
• Identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within existing accounts
• Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Delivering a proactive, solutions-focused service tailored to each client's needs

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an SME Account Handler within an insurance brokerage or insurer environment
• Good working knowledge of commercial insurance products for SME businesses
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a varied workload
• A proactive and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively within a supportive office-based team
