Software Engineer I

Overview

In this role you will contribute as a junior full-stack engineer to the Experiences Engineering team, building and shipping code that powers travel experiences for millions. You’ll work across design, development, testing, and deployment, contributing to a scalable, product-driven platform. You’ll partner with product, design, and data teams, and use AI-assisted tools to accelerate learning and delivery. This is a remote-friendly role with opportunities to collaborate in person at select hubs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software lifecycle from design to deployment
• Release code to production frequently, close to daily
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to understand the problem space
• Leverage AI tools to automate boilerplate, tests, and small refactors
• Contribute to design reviews and actively seek feedback
• Design readable, testable solutions with automated unit and integration testing
• Engage in cross-functional teamwork to ship high-quality software

Key requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in software development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OOP
• Full-stack exposure with backend language (Java, C#, Go, Python) and relational DB basics (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Comfort coding with AI coding tools (Cursor, Codex, Claude, Open Code)
• Willingness to learn AWS, React, or NoSQL databases
• Clear communication and ability to discuss blockers with the team
