Job Description Birchwell Associates is working with a growing renewable energy company looking to expand its team with experienced Solar PV Electricians across Manchester and Greater Manchester. This is a permanent opportunity for an electrician with hands-on Solar PV experience to join a business delivering a mixture of domestic and commercial solar installations .Youll be responsible for electrical installation, testing, commissioning and fault finding across Solar PV projects, working independently and alongside wider installation teams to deliver work to a high standard. your responsibilities will include
Installing and commissioning Solar PV systemsWorking across domestic and commercial solar projectsCarrying out AC and DC electrical installation worksInstalling and commissioning invertersTesting, inspection and certificationFault finding and remedial worksInstallation of battery storage systemsWorking from electrical drawings and specificationsEnsuring installations comply with current electrical and safety standardsLiaising with customers, site teams and project managers where requiredWhat Were Looking For Were looking for electricians with previous experience working within Solar PV or the wider renewable energy sector.
Ideally, you will have: Previous Solar PV installation experienceNVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent18th EditionStrong electrical testing and fault-finding skillsExperience working across domestic and/or commercial propertiesA good understanding of Solar PV systems and invertersHigh standards of workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a wider installation teamFull UK driving licenceExperience with battery storage, EV charging or commercial Solar PV installations would be particularly beneficial.
