Birchwell Associates is recruiting for an experienced Senior Solar Solutions Manager to join an established and growing renewable energy business based in Weybridge. This is a key position within a Solar PV and Battery Storage division, working directly alongside the Technical Director and taking responsibility for projects from initial enquiry and survey through to installation, commissioning and final handover. The role would suit an experienced solar professional with a strong electrical background who is comfortable managing multiple projects, coordinating engineers and subcontractors, reviewing technical designs and maintaining strong commercial control. The Role Responsibilities will include: Planning and coordinating Solar PV and Battery Storage installations Supporting the Technical Director with the day-to-day running of the solar division Reviewing surveys, system designs, quotations and project requirements Organising engineers, subcontractors, materials and access equipment Managing project programmes, costs and profitability Reviewing installation quality and resolving technical or delivery issues Managing DNO applications, commissioning information and handover documentation Ensuring projects comply with MCS requirements, BS 7671 and company standards Liaising with clients, consultants, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors Attending site meetings and carrying out progress inspections Managing several live projects and priorities simultaneously Supporting the continued growth and development of the Solar PV and Battery Storage division What Were Looking For To be considered, you will ideally have: Strong experience within Solar PV, Battery Storage or electrical project delivery 5+ years' experience in solar stringing/system design Background within electrical contracting Full electrical qualifications, ideally Gold Card or equivalent Solar PV / EESS qualification such as C&G, BPEC, LCL or EAL Strong project-management and organisational skills Experience managing engineers, subcontractors and suppliers Good commercial understanding of project costs and margins Experience working with CRM systems Strong client-facing communication skills Full UK driving licence Good knowledge of MCS processes would be highly advantageous Experience with SolarEdge, PV*SOL or Reonic would also be beneficial This role requires someone who can take ownership, make decisions independently and remain organised across multiple projects.
