Solicitor - Housing ManagementWorcester based with a balance of home and office working56,110 - 59,059 per year 35 hours per week We have an opportunity for a Solicitor - Housing Management to join our Legal Services team, based in Worcester.
The Legal Services team provides legal assistance and support to the Group to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are metThe role of Solicitor - Housing Management will include:Manage own caseload of legal work, mainly non contentious and contentious housing management work in line with legal and regulatory requirements and in support of business objectivesSupport the development and delivery of high quality legal services in relation to all areas of housing management to Sanctuary Housing Association and its subsidiaries and operationsProvide support to the senior team within Legal Services in overseeing the in house legal teams responsible for the Group's legal workLiase with the Group’s external legal providers and support the senior legal team in managing legal spend and invoice analysis, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and Group financial proceduresDevelop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of a quality service that represents value for money, identifying any shortfalls in service deliverySkills and experiences:Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualificationQualified Solicitor or barrister or equivalent.
Must have additional practising rights if CILEX (LSA 2007 exemption)Proven experience of delivering legal servicesExperience of housing litigation or relevant contentious workProven experience of managing projects with strong project management skillsExperience of commercial contracts, negotiation and data protectionAbility to present advice, options and legal issues to non-legal audiences in both verbal and written formatsIntermediate Microsoft 365Why work for us?We provide homes and care for more than 250,000 people in England and Scotland.
