Solicitor - Property Damage

Overview

As a Solicitor in Birmingham, you will contribute to a growing Insurance property damage team. You will manage your own property claims while supporting senior colleagues on complex files, ensuring excellent client service and timely outcomes. This hybrid role places you at the heart of a global legal business that values inclusion and collaboration. You will work across diverse sectors, tackling perils from fire to construction issues, and help drive the team’s service standards and MI within client SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior team members on complex property damage claims
• Manage a personal caseload of property claims to successful conclusions
• Ensure high levels of internal and external client service
• Maintain management information under client service level agreements

Key requirements

• 3–5 years PQE or equivalent experience
• Experience handling insurance-backed property damage claims, including litigated caseloads
• Knowledge of first party property damage, policy coverage, and subrogated recoveries
• Strong technical grounding in Commercial Insurance and track record of meeting deadlines
