The OpportunityThis is a unique opportunity for an experienced underwriter or underwriting leader looking to move beyond traditional portfolio management and play a key role in building a growing Specialty business. The successful individual will have the opportunity to shape underwriting strategy, strengthen broker relationships, drive profitable growth, launch new initiatives, and contribute to the long-term development of a multi-line specialty platform.
This role offers genuine influence, visibility, and the chance to build something rather than simply inherit an existing structure. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and growth of a Specialty underwriting portfolio.
Develop and execute underwriting strategy within your chosen class of business. Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships across the UK market. Identify profitable growth opportunities and new product initiatives.
Collaborate with claims, actuarial, compliance, finance and data teams to ensure sustainable portfolio performance. Support the hiring, mentoring and development of future underwriting talent. Contribute to the broader growth strategy of a rapidly expanding Specialty division.
