SQL Developer – FinTech

Overview In this SQL-focused role, you will support a data migration team within a fintech data environment, shaping data cleansing and import processes for the core product. You'll work alongside a data team to improve performance and scalability of mission-critical data services.
You'll apply your SQL expertise to optimize big data queries, manage indexes, and contribute to a fast-moving, technically advanced shop. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence migration speed and data reliability in a cutting-edge fintech setting.
Responsibilities Own and promote SQL coding standards across the team Develop and optimize complex SQL queries on large data sets Extract, cleanse, and load data into the core product Re-engineer and streamline the data migration process Review and implement scalable technologies and change scripts Improve migration performance by identifying and rewriting long-running/high-frequency queries Create, merge, and drop indexes to boost overall system performance Support MS SQL AlwaysOn and maintain data servers for optimal performance Maintain monitoring tools and resolve issues in collaboration with operations Collaborate with developers to enhance query performance through indexing and tuning On-call troubleshooting and incident response for production SQL Server environments Ensure data environment is correctly configured and up-to-date Key requirements MS SQL development experience on enterprise transactional systems with high throughput Windows Server 2012r2/2016/2019 experience MS SQL Server 2014 +, PostgreSQL 9+ ( familiarity) On-call production SQL Server troubleshooting experience Experience working with developers to improve query performance and indexing T-SQL query tuning and performance optimization strong communication skills team collaboration ability to work in a dynamic, disruption-prone environment MS SQL Server MS SQL AlwaysOn T-SQL
