Requirements

Current or recently expired SC Security Clearance; valid, active clearance is required, with recently lapsed clearance also considered Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including the SQL BI stack, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio Proven experience with migration projects, including the ability to explain challenges and identify potential issues Experience performing in-place migrations Awareness of feature differences between SQL Server 2012/2016 and SQL Server 2019/2022 Familiarity with Terraform, Git, and PowerShell is advantageous

Responsibilities

Lead migrations from legacy SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, and SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2019 and 2022, with SQL Server 2025 planned Install, migrate, and support legacy SQL and SQL BI stacks across the business Design and develop reliable SQL and database solutions Improve performance by optimizing BI-related code and analyzing SQL queries Support the data lifecycle in an agile environment Independently manage tasks, make informed decisions, and work closely with the team Work outside normal hours when required to support migrations Technologies: Git Support PowerShell SQL Security SSAS SSIS Terraform Visual Studio More: We are recruiting a SQL DBA to join a dynamic database team on a six-month contract, which could run for up to two years.
