Job Description hackajob is partnering directly with JPMorganChase to hire for this role. JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Senior Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Electronic Trading Services Platforms you will utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

You will work directly with the Electronic Trading Lines of Business to ensure the technical strategy aligns with and accomplishes business goals, to develop solutions to compute engineering challenges, and to provide guidance and mentorship to partner technical teams.

They will be an expert advisor to peers, leadership, and stakeholders. Job responsibilitiesLeads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectivesWork directly with Lines of Business to understand and address their needs and challenges within the compute space within a low-latency Electronic Trading environmentDirect the strategies for server hardware platform, server/OS tuning and automation, and infrastructure application lifecycleDesign Authority for the compute infrastructure application stack, including build and configuration management, and log/metric aggregationInterface with hardware and software vendors on product roadmaps and to establish the next generation of Electronic Trading Platform infrastructureMakes decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and proceduresCarries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operationsDelivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domainsInfluences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teamsChampions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.

Understanding of IPv4 networking, including OSI model, unicast/broadcast/multicast, routing, and network segregation mechanismsExtensive experience with Configuration Management, preferably Chef or AnsibleExperience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologistsExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talentExperience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product ManagerPractical cloud native experienceExpertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsMentor SRE and partner teams on automation best practices, technical thought process, and modern infrastructure managementLinux administration, performance tuning, and benchmarking for low-latency Electronic Trading, preferably Red Hat Enterprise LinuxExtensive experience with Configuration Management, preferably Chef or AnsiblePerforming various research/development/risk-analysis as it pertains to the aforementionedUnderstanding of standard cryptography (certs, key pairs, communication, etc.)Experience with database management systems, preferably PostgreSQLABOUT USJ.P.
