Staff Etch Process Development Engineer

Our international client is currently searching for a Staff Etch Process Development Engineer to be responsible for developing, optimising, and supporting dry and wet etch processes for III-V semiconductor and photonic devices.
Driving process improvements, new product introduction (NPI), yield enhancement, and manufacturing efficiency in a semiconductor fabrication environment will all be required. Key Responsibilities Develop, qualify, and improve semiconductor manufacturing processes Optimise dry and wet etch processes for performance, repeatability, and yield Analyse process and equipment data using SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies Support NPI, technology transfer, and process scale-up into production Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve uptime and reduce defects Lead yield improvement, scrap reduction, cycle time, and cost-reduction initiatives Collaborate with Product, Equipment, Manufacturing, and R&D teams Essential Skills & Experience Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing (photonics, III-V, MEMS, optoelectronics, silicon photonics desirable) Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and root cause analysis Experience with statistical data analysis, process optimisation, and manufacturing problem solving Good communication skills and ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams Degree (or equivalent experience) in Semiconductor Technology, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical/Electronic Engineering, or related discipline Please contact Rachel Anderson for further details.
