Stores Operative – ManufacturingHourly rate: £14.75Location: AndoverHours: Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:15 & Friday: 06:00 - 14:00We are seeking an organised, detail-focused Stores Operative to join the twilight team at a high-tech electronics manufacturing facility.
You'll play a vital role in managing materials, supporting internal departments, and ensuring accurate inventory flow within a dynamic production environment. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in warehousing, stores, or logistics in manufacturing – particularly electronics – or those with transferable skills and a keen eye for process accuracy. Responsibilities
- Manage stock using the internal MRP/ERP system, including booking in, locating, and issuing materials
- Pick, pack, and deliver stock to internal departments as per requisitions
- Perform kitting for box build and assembly lines (basic and complex kits)
- Support stock accuracy through system transactions and physical checks
- Relocate, count, and track materials using tools such as x-ray counters and vacuum packing
- Assist with annual stock checks and ongoing cycle countsStores Operative
Requirements
- Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
- Good attention to detail and commitment to stock accuracy
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, structured production environment
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain clean record-keepingDesirable
- Previous experience in manufacturing or electronics stores
- Understanding of FIFO, kitting, stock control, and inventory systems
