Strategy Manager

Overview

In this Strategy Manager role, you will partner with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of Rolls-Royce’s Defence business. You’ll lead cross-functional projects such as market assessments, portfolio analysis and competitive intelligence to surface growth opportunities and inform key decisions. You will apply structured analysis and commercial judgment to develop and present clear strategic recommendations. This role offers exposure to leadership and the chance to influence long-term outcomes in a global, high‑reliability industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of business visions and strategies aligned with Group and functional goals
• Conduct industry, market, customer, competitor, partner and supplier research to generate insights and recommendations
• Apply structured analysis and strategic thinking to solve complex business problems
• Lead market assessments, portfolio analysis and competitive intelligence activities
• Identify emerging opportunities, risks and competitive threats and craft strategic responses
• Drive communication and stakeholder engagement to support strategy development and implementation
• Prepare and present evidence-based strategic recommendations to senior leadership

Key requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Commercial awareness and ability to engage with stakeholders across the business
• Experience or familiarity with corporate strategy; aerospace/defence knowledge advantageous
• Experience requirements aligned with degree: Associates with 7+ years, Bachelor’s with 5+ years, Master’s with 3+ years, JD/PhD, or 9+ years in lieu of a degree
