Structural engineer

Overview

As a Structural Engineer in Belfast, you will design practical, cost-efficient structures across timber, concrete, masonry, and steel, supporting projects from concept to completion. Responsibilities

• Create practical and cost-efficient structural designs using timber, concrete, masonry, and steel
• Ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality project completion
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of design experience with a consulting structural engineering firm in the UK or Ireland
• Preferably, have experience in heavy civil, renovation and restoration

Key requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• At least three years of experience in the UK or Ireland
• Membership in a relevant professional institution
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of engineering principles
• Experience designing to NI/UK & Eurocodes, NI/UK & Irish Building Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Technical Standards
• Proficiency in Tekla Structural Designer, AutoCAD, and Revit
• Excellent planning, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
