Job Description Hybrid/Remote workingImmediate startTelecoms/Mobiles experience essentialA National Organisation is seeking a Telecommunications Structural Engineer to join their growing business in the mobiles/wireless space.

Working across all company projects the Structural Engineer works with various stakeholders to produce site specific designs placing emphasis on quality design outputs & compliance with internal quality standards. The Structural Engineer will ensure the design requirements of the client are captured & that high-quality, safe, commercially viable designs are produced both internally & by third parties (subcontractors)The successful candidate will monitor design quality & efficiency, reporting on outputs & addressing any issues in conjunction with other key stakeholderSTRUCTURAL ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIESSchedule & distribute design work amongst internal & external resources to ensure delivery timeframes for design are met across all projects/work packagesMonitor, evaluate & report on external design resource (sub-contractor) performanceProvision of design expertise & support to internal departments acting as the key escalation point & client contactTo undertake &/or review site surveys & produce survey reports which detail workable, best practice solutionsProduce designs to quality standards, statutory & client requirementsProduce plan & elevation views with associated standard design requirementsComplete work to output expectations, ensuring the timely delivery of workDevelop strong working relationships with internal & external stakeholders ensuring that milestones are met within agreed timeframesEnsure design buildability, cost control processes/considerations within designsSupport the Lead Engineer as required in particular through expert structural design adviceOrganise & lead design forums / discussions & disseminate information related to designTimely & accurate recording of information on internal and client databasesPrepare high-quality, accurate reports for both internal & external distribution as requiredUnderstand, promote and comply with the company QA, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and ProceduresProvide coaching, training & mentoring as required to various project employeesAttend multi skilled visits (MSV) providing practical & relevant design advice to meet site & client specificationsWork closely with Project Managers, Acquisition Surveyors, Project Engineers & other key stakeholders to ensure design deliverables are met within agreed timeframesH&S Management (in conjunction with the HSEQ Manager), including adherence to Construction Design Management (CDM) regulationsSTRUCTURAL ENGINEER REQUIREMENTSDegree qualified in Construction/Engineering or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience as a Telecoms Design Engineer essentialSound leadership skills & ability to share information & knowledge with othersDemonstrated ability to write & technical documentation and develop standardsAbility to analyse data/information, interpret & report on results or findingsStrong investigative skills, ability to procure information & report findingKnowledge of the latest version of AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT, photo editing software, Pro-MAP Lead Engineer - Job DescriptionExperience of rooftop safety regulations & design requirementsWorking knowledge of CDM Regulations & British Standards with a commitment to safety in design principalsSound IT skills competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages
