As Structural Team Lead in our water-focused offices, you will steer the Structural Team to deliver robust, code-compliant designs while driving regional growth. You will combine high‑level technical expertise with leadership to mentor staff, manage budgets and timelines, and foster cross‑functional collaboration. Your hands-on delivery approach and strong communication will ensure trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. This role offers meaningful scope to shape water infrastructure projects and lead teams across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and line management for the Structural Team across the region
• Deliver high-quality structural design using state-of-the-art techniques
• Coordinate cross-site collaboration (e.g., with Pune) and travel to regional offices
• Ensure projects meet outputs, budget, schedule and quality standards
• Influence stakeholders through technical excellence and clear communication
• Plan and allocate resources with group managers
• Keep up-to-date with design, survey, drafting, and contract management standards
• Liaise with clients to build trust and demonstrate capability
• Mentor and develop staff, including training in responsibility areas
• Review and check others’ work to maintain focus on priorities
• build relationships with new clients and key stakeholders
• Adopt a hands-on approach to project delivery

Key requirements

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Chartered member of IStructE or ICE
• Hands-on experience in water engineering and structural design
• Experience in mentoring junior staff and managing project budgets and timelines
• Ability to travel regularly to meet regional teams
• Proven ability to prepare and review technical documents and proposals
