Support Engineer

Support Engineer London | Defence Sector | SC/DV Clearance Required |Contract Are you a SC/DV Cleared Support Engineer looking to work on mission-critical systems that directly support the UK's defence and security community?

We're seeking a proactive and technically capable Support Engineer to join a specialist team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a complex, multi-technology application operating within a highly secure environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting services that are essential to defence operations, ensuring high availability, resilience, and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support for a complex enterprise application within a secure environment.

Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and system changes in line with agreed SLAs. Investigate and resolve technical issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes. Perform system health checks, patching, capacity management, monitoring, and proactive maintenance activities.

Produce service reports, incident reports, and maintain technical documentation. Work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to maintain service performance and drive continual improvement. Support the delivery of system enhancements and change implementations.

Occasionally travel to secure UK client sites when required. Essential Skills Active DV Clearance . Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience. Experience working within an ITIL-based support environment.

Excellent incident and problem management skills. Strong networking and infrastructure understanding. Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical issues. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
