Find out more about Working Here Responsibilities What You’ll Do Provide direct support to individuals with complex needs, including autism and behaviours that cause concern.
Enable participation in community activities to promote independence and social inclusion. Support health-related needs, including administering medication and personal care. Maintain safe and clean living environments and assist with daily living tasks.
Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to deliver quality care. Participate in ongoing training and development, including trauma-informed practice and physical intervention techniques. The Individual What We’re Looking For Compassion, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Good practical and observational skills. Willingness to undertake SVQ Level 2, register with the SSSC and hold a PVG membership. Ability to remain calm in challenging situations and reflect on practice. (Previous experience in social care is desirable but not essential - we’ll provide full training.) This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
