Command & Control (C2) systems sit at the centre of complex defence capabilities, providing the intelligence and decision-making functionality required to assess threats, prioritise actions and coordinate operations within dynamic environments.
As the C2 Validation & Verification Lead, you will take ownership of defining test scenarios, verification activities and success criteria to ensure the system meets its functional and performance requirements. Working within a product-focused environment, you will play a key role in assuring the quality and integrity of critical software capabilities.
Recent programme growth has created exciting opportunities to support the development and integration of advanced C2 functionality, working across multiple stakeholders and disciplines throughout the full development lifecycle.
This role offers excellent exposure to systems engineering, software development, integration, verification and customer delivery activities. Key ResponsibilitiesLeading a small team responsible for:Maintaining compliance matrices and requirements verification evidence within DOORSAnalysing test results to verify software performance against requirementsDefining test scenarios, acceptance criteria and test descriptionsSupporting the investigation and resolution of issues identified during testingProducing technical, safety and security-related evidence and reportsGenerating and presenting progress metrics to stakeholdersAdditional responsibilities include:Collaborating with project stakeholders across engineering and delivery functionsMonitoring project schedules and reporting progress against milestonesManaging requirements changes and ensuring controlled implementationSupporting continuous improvement initiatives and best practice developmentWhat We're Looking ForStrong understanding of Validation & Verification (V&V) methodologiesExperience developing software baselines from requirements through to test-ready releasesAbility to lead and coordinate small technical teamsExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering environmentsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret requirements, test evidence and technical documentationExperience with DOORS, Rhapsody or similar requirements/configuration management toolsDegree qualified (or equivalent experience), ideally within a STEM disciplinePlease note: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK Security Clearance.
British citizenship is required as a minimum due to programme restrictions. Salary: Up to 55,000 depending on experienceHybrid Working: 4 days per week on-site due to project requirementsSecurity Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK National with British citizenshipRestrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply.
