This isn't just another Tax Director position. An established and ambitious accountancy practice is looking for a Tax Director to play a key role in the continued growth of its Manchester office, with a particular focus on owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and privately owned groups.
This is an opportunity for a senior tax professional who wants more than simply managing a portfolio. You'll have the opportunity to become a trusted adviser to ambitious business owners, develop long-standing relationships and help shape the firm's tax offering in Manchester.
If you're commercially minded, enjoy being close to your clients and want the freedom to develop your own network and ideas, this could be a very strong next move. What will you be doing? You'll take the lead on a varied portfolio of successful OMBs, entrepreneurs and privately owned businesses, providing high-quality tax advice while identifying opportunities to add genuine commercial value.
Your role will include: Acting as a trusted adviser to business owners, shareholders and senior management. Leading corporate tax advisory and compliance engagements. Advising on acquisitions, disposals, restructures and group reorganisations.
Supporting clients with succession planning and exit strategies. Advising shareholders and directors on tax-efficient remuneration and extraction. Providing practical advice around business growth and changing ownership structures.
Working closely with accounts, audit and wider advisory teams to deliver joined-up solutions. Reviewing complex corporation tax computations and returns. Developing existing client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services.
Building relationships with new clients and helping grow your own network. Mentoring and developing the next generation of tax professionals. Playing an active role in shaping the continued growth of the Manchester tax team.
The clients This is a role for someone who enjoys working with people as much as they enjoy working with tax. You'll work closely with ambitious business owners, entrepreneurs, shareholders and privately owned groups, getting under the skin of their businesses and understanding what they're trying to achieve.
