Job Description Tax Disputes Manager Location: London Firm: Top 20 Accountancy Firm Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits Working: Hybrid A leading Top 20 accountancy firm is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Disputes Manager to join its growing tax disputes and investigations team.

The Role You will manage a varied portfolio of tax investigations and disputes, working closely with clients and HMRC to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include
Managing complex HMRC tax investigations and enquiries. Handling COP8 and COP9 cases from inception through to resolution. Advising individuals and businesses on contentious tax matters. Managing settlement negotiations and correspondence with HMRC.
Handling voluntary disclosures and high-risk tax matters. Providing technically strong advice across a broad range of tax disputes. Building and maintaining strong client relationships. Supporting Senior Managers, Directors and Partners on larger and more complex matters.
Contributing to the growth of the tax disputes and investigations offering. Coaching and developing junior members of the team. About You The successful candidate will have: Strong experience in Tax Disputes / Tax Investigations.
Proven experience handling both COP8 and COP9 cases - essential. Experience managing complex HMRC enquiries and investigations. Strong technical knowledge of contentious tax matters. Excellent client-management and communication skills.
The ability to manage cases independently and take ownership of client relationships. A commercial approach with an interest in business development. Previous experience at Manager level or be ready to step into the role.
Previous HMRC experience is highly desirable, particularly candidates who have worked within HMRC investigations and subsequently moved into professional services. Why Join?
