Join our team as our Director (Security Consultancy lead UK).Your RoleAs Security Consultancy Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing and growing our team.

You will shape new service offerings, strengthen market presence, embed security consultancy as a core part of specialist service and ensuring the successful delivery of projects, championing innovation, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

You will need to develop and maintain excellent client relationships while having great leadership skills with first rate communication to keep driving excellence and secure pipeline. Key Responsibilities1. Security Strategy & Design IntegrationTranslate complex threat environments into clear, design-driven security approachesDefine Operational Requirements and embed them into project outcomes from concept through deliveryEnsure security is fully coordinated with architecture, engineering, and user experienceGuide teams to deliver solutions that are effective, proportionate, and unobtrusive2.

Client Leadership & EngagementAct as a senior advisor, building trusted relationships with key clientsLead conversations that simplify complexity and enable confident decision-makingFacilitate workshops and strategic discussions across multidisciplinary teamsIdentify and convert opportunities to expand service offerings and deepen client engagement3.

Team Leadership & DevelopmentBuild and lead a high-performing, scalable security teamMentor and develop individuals across both technical and commercial capabilitiesDefine team structure aligned with growth ambitions and pipeline demandLead recruitment and integration of new talent4.

Service Line Growth & Capability DevelopmentEstablish and grow new security services within the Building Advisory and Consultancy offeringPosition security as a core, value-adding discipline across projects and sectorsDevelop differentiated capabilities in areas such as: Urban and public realm security integrationVehicle threat mitigation and protective designDigitally enabled and smart security environmentsDrive consistency in methodology, quality, and delivery approach5.

Technical Delivery & AssuranceOversee delivery of: Risk and vulnerability assessmentsSecurity strategies, architectures, and technical documentationIntegrated system concepts, design, and requirementsProvide direction across: Access control systemsSurveillance (CCTV & analytics)Intrusion detection systemsPerimeter protection solutionsSecurity Management System (SMS)Mechanical and physical security measuresEnsure outputs are coordinated, practical, and aligned with project intentAct as technical authority, providing: Design assurance and peer reviewsApproval of key security deliverablesGuidance on complex or high-risk solutions6.

Standard, Compliance & AssuranceEnsure alignment with UK standards and guidance including: British Standards Institution (BS EN 62676, BS EN 50131, BS EN 60839, BS 8220)National Protective Security Authority / protective security guidanceISO 27001, NPSA/NCSCHome Office (Protect Duty / Martyn's Law readiness)Apply Ministry of Defence standards where required (JSP 440, DIO requirements)Engage with CTSAs and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and best practiceOrganisational risk appetite and new security policiesKey Qualifications RequiredDegree in Engineering, Security Management, Risk, Built Environment, or related disciplineMust be a UK Sole National with eligibility for National Security vetting at DV levelProfessional certifications (desirable but highly valued):CPP (Certified Protection Professional, ASIS International)PSP (Physical Security Professional, ASIS International)Register of Security Engineers & Specialists (RSES)Extensive experience in physical security consultancy in the UK, particularly in Public SectorProven track record of developing new service lines and leading high-performing teamsStrong knowledge of UK security standards, CPNI/NPSA guidance, and MoD JSP requirementsDemonstrated ability to engage clients and manage complex multidisciplinary projectsImpactBuild and establish a recognised security offering within a multidisciplinary consultancyExpand the role of security as a strategic advisory service, not a standalone disciplineDevelop a capable, future-ready team aligned with business growthStrengthen client relationships through clarity, insight, and delivery excellenceAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
