In Data, we are responsible for delivering this data, news, and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately. We apply problem-solving skills to identify workflow efficiencies and implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products, and processes.
Our Team: Sovereign debt is the cornerstone of global finance and the largest and most liquid asset class in fixed income. We work closely with Treasuries and Central Banks around the world to onboard their debt securities on Bloomberg in a timely manner, ensuring excellent data quality.
Information about the issuance of bonds by governments is time-sensitive and often market-moving, and something a lot of our clients track carefully. By using technology, domain expertise, and relationships with Issuers we aim to be the best data and analytics platform in the market.
What's the role? We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Team Leader to support coverage of EMEA sovereign debt data. You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of data management professionals who deliver automated solutions for our clients.
You will set the team's technical strategy to complement the vision for the domain and deliver high-quality data leveraging strong technical, project management and leadership skills. In doing so, you'll build a close partnership with various internal groups, such as Engineering, Sales and Product.
We'll trust you to: Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of domain experts and data management professionals who are experts in financial data, data analysis, and project managementLead large-scale programs (technical and operational) with enterprise-wide impact through effective data governance, cross-team organization, dependency, risk management, and leadership engagementIdentify and implement improvements to schemas, workflows, automated data ingestion pipelines and operational processesEnsure dataset consistency and quality while effectively collaborating with external and internal clientsHave strong technical skills (python, UNIX, GitHub, data visualization tools) and proven ability in developing automated data ingestion pipelinesParticipate in technical discussions and provide insights on system design, code reviews and other relevant areasYou'll need to have:3+ years of relevant professional experience with proven leadership skillsExperience in data management related role such as data quality, data modelling and/or data engineeringExpert-level knowledge of data processing paradigms and associated tools and technologiesExperience leading product/technical strategies, managing complex projects, and leadership ability in change management and influencing othersStrong interpersonal skills, allowing you to clearly communicate business needs and effectively engage with various stakeholdersCreative and flexible approach to problem solving, aided by strong data analysis skillsWe'd love to see: Experience in semantic data modellingUnderstanding of data governance and data management standard processesSolid understanding of the multifaceted impact of third-party dataDoes this sound like you?
