Technical Author

Your new company Hays Engineering is delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing organisation based in Antrim as they recruit for a Technical Author to join their established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful manufacturer with a strong reputation within its sector.

Your new role As Technical Author, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining clear, accurate technical documentation to support the company's product range.

Key responsibilities will include

Creating and updating technical manuals, operating instructions and product documentation Producing clear technical information using engineering drawings, specifications and product data Working closely with Design, Engineering, Production and Quality teams Gathering technical information from engineers and converting it into easy-to-understand documentation Maintaining existing documentation and ensuring information remains accurate and up to date Supporting documentation requirements for new and existing products Ensuring documentation is produced to a consistently high standard What you'll need to succeed You will ideally come from an engineering, manufacturing or technical documentation background with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical in technical authoring, CAD, engineering documentation or mechanical design would be particularly beneficial.

You should have excellent written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
