Technical Quality Manager

Overview

In this role you oversee the Buxton factory’s quality systems and laboratory operations to ensure food safety and zero-defect performance. You lead the QA function, align with Nestlé quality standards, and represent QA on the Factory Leadership Team. You drive continuous improvement and uphold consumer trust through robust processes. Responsibilities

• Lead the QA department and develop quality competencies across the factory
• Manage and enforce Nestlé quality requirements for finished products
• Oversee factory laboratory operations, training, and equipment maintenance
• Ensure compliance with GMP and hygienic practices across the site
• Lead food safety teams (HACCP) and manage risk mitigation
• Support TPM and drive root-cause analysis through SPC and quality metrics

Key requirements

• Proven QA experience in food or beverage manufacturing, including QA auditing and quality systems management
• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field
• Experience with product development and applying continuous improvement tools
• Knowledge of microbiological testing, food technology, and hygiene practices
• Strong leadership, motivation, and line-management skills
