Job Description Care to Join Us? As the Technician, you will play a key role in supporting high quality teaching and learning across our workshops. You will prepare and maintain equipment, materials and learning spaces, ensuring everything is safe, organised and ready for use.

responsibilities

Prepare learning materials, tools and equipment for teaching sessions. Support students and teaching staff in workshops and laboratories. Set up, test and safely operate equipment and return items to storage after use. Maintain and organise workshops, laboratories, equipment and material stores.

Maintain accurate stock, maintenance, COSHH and other relevant records. Carry out equipment checks and ensure staff and students receive appropriate safety instruction. Prepare and update risk assessments and report any health and safety concerns.

Order materials, supplies and equipment as required. Manage the issue and return of tools and equipment to students. Reclaim, recycle and dispose of materials appropriately. Ensure compliance with College health and safety, financial and equality policies.

Undertake relevant training and professional development. Hold and first aid certificate and provide First Aid as required. Support the wider needs of the College and undertake other reasonable duties as required. Partnerships and ReputationEnsure that the college develops and maintains a constructive relationship with appropriate external stakeholders relevant to the postholder's areas of responsibility.

Health and SafetyEnsure that the Health and Safety policy and procedures operated by the college are adhered to and that all statutory requirements are met by all staff with postholder's areas of responsibility.
