Technology Value Manager

Overview

In this role you will help clients realise the value of their technology investments and translate business goals into measurable outcomes. You will operate at the intersection of business and technology, engaging with senior clients, engineers and architects to shape strategies and operating models. You will analyse cost bases, design financial and non-financial business cases, and drive cost optimisation across hybrid environments and AI deployments. This is a chance to influence CTO/CFO decisions through TBM-informed frameworks and multi-year investment planning.

Responsibilities

• Estimate the value of enterprise technology investments to enable strategic outcomes
• Stay informed on tech trends and their impact on CTO/CFO strategy and value realisation
• Build client-facing business cases detailing costs and benefits aligned with business objectives
• Support cost optimisation programmes across legacy, on-prem, hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI deployments
• Design and mobilise FinOps/TokenOps capabilities for hybrid cloud, SaaS, and AI spend to improve ROI
• Advise on financial management concepts within CTO using TBM and industry best practices
• Provide insights and frameworks to support complex investment decisions aligned with strategic goals
• Support clients in transitioning from annual budgets to multi-year investment plans funding products over projects

Key requirements

• Experience analysing technology cost bases and providing optimisation recommendations
• Inquisitive mindset with interest in emerging technologies (Gen AI, Agentic AI, TokenOps, Quantum)
• Experience with hybrid cloud, data platforms, SaaS, AI
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills to influence clients
• Ability to interpret financial reports and relate them to technology spend and inventories
