Temporary Works Coordinator - M60 Highways Project Location: M60 Start Date: September 2026 End Date: February 2027 Duration: Approximately 6 months Sector: Highways / Civil Engineering Role Type: Contract Rate: Up to £450 a shift We are currently recruiting for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join a major highways project on the M60, starting in September 2026 and running through to February 2027.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing temporary works activities throughout the project, ensuring that all temporary works are planned, designed, installed, used and dismantled safely and in accordance with approved designs, the Temporary Works Procedure and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities * Coordinate temporary works activities across the project in accordance with the Temporary Works Procedure. Ensure temporary works are properly planned, checked, approved and implemented before construction activities commence.

Monitor temporary works installations to ensure they are constructed and maintained in accordance with approved designs and specifications. Liaise with site management, engineers, designers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.

Ensure temporary works inspections are completed and recorded appropriately. Identify potential temporary works risks and ensure appropriate controls are implemented. Maintain accurate temporary works documentation, registers and records.

Ensure temporary works are safely modified, maintained and dismantled when no longer required. Support the delivery of the project in accordance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company procedures and project-specific requirements.

Provide guidance and support to site teams regarding temporary works requirements. Requirements .CITB Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) Training - essential .SMSTS or SSSTS - essential .CSCS Card - Supervisor or Manager level .

Previous experience working with temporary works within a highways or civil engineering environment . Strong understanding of temporary works procedures, risk management and site safety. . Ability to coordinate effectively with site teams, engineers, designers and subcontractors. .
