Test Solutions Engineer

Overview

In this role you will join the Test Solutions team to develop and validate hardware/software test solutions for complex electronic systems (RF, digital, analogue). You’ll collaborate across multidisciplinary groups to capture requirements, manage parts and documentation, and support life-cycle reviews. You will craft testing approaches from specification to validation, primarily using LabVIEW and TestStand, and engage with suppliers on make/buy decisions to mitigate risks. This is a hands-on, impact-driven engineering position at the heart of defence electronics testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve technical problems to develop test solutions
• Support requirements capture for Test Equipment Requirement Specifications (TERS)
• Control parts and documentation, including change management
• Ensure effective implementation of life-cycle design reviews
• Develop hardware/software test solutions from requirements to testing
• Software development using LabVIEW & TestStand
• Support supplier management and project Make/Buy decisions
• Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies (e.g., obsolescence)

Key requirements

• Good understanding of a range of electronic technologies
• Experience working with external suppliers
• Degree qualified (or equivalent)
