Job Description Tool Maker/FitterPerm Role, £33k-£40k pa DOE, Days, 37hrs per week, Mon-Thurs, OvertimeWETHERBYI am looking for an experienced Tool Maker/Fitter, with good knowledge of Conventional Engineering techniques, to work for an Engineering/Manufacturing company based in Wetherby.
The business is commutable from York, Leeds or Harrogate and this is a great opportunity to join a busy and growing company. Required Experience:
- Experienced tool room operative within the engineering sector
- Excellent Manual Milling skills
- TIG Welding knowledge would be beneficial
- Grinding & Polishing experience
- Capable of reading complex engineering drawings
- Knowledge of Bridgeport XYZ Axis Milling Machine would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of providing accuracy and quality
- Ability to work to both independently and well within a team
- Adhering to all Quality and H&S StandardsOther desired skills required include:
- Manual Turning and Boring experience would be beneficial
- Experience in Machining a wide range of specialist materials including Heavy Flame cut Structural Steels, High tensile steel, Aluminium, Brass, Bronze and Acetal
- Experience of working to ISO9001:2015
- Ability to visually inspect work
C/B FLT License would be beneficialThe core working hours for this role are 37hrs per week, 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime is always available and is paid at Time + 1/3 on weekdays and Time + ½ on Saturdays.
