Job Description Tool Maker \ N Location: Hampshire Rate: £15-£21 per hour depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm Permanent \ N We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tool Maker to join a specialist automotive engineering business. \ N This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Tool Maker / Toolroom Engineer to work on a varied range of components and assemblies within a specialist vintage and classic automotive environment.
The Role \ N You will be responsible for manufacturing, modifying and repairing components to engineering drawings and specifications, using a range of manual machining and toolroom techniques. \ N Duties will include: \ N Manual milling, turning and surface grinding. \ N Bench fitting, deburring and hand finishing. \ N Manufacture of components and assemblies to drawing specification. \ N Stripping, assessing and rebuilding vehicle sub-assemblies. \ N Modifying parts to support the vehicle workshop. \ N Inspecting components and approving first-off production. \ N Working to agreed production priorities and schedules. \ N Completing inspection records and other production documentation. \ N General workshop dutiesincluding material handling and cutting. \ N The Person The successful candidate will ideally have: \ N Time-served apprenticeship training. \ N Strong Tool Maker / Toolroom experience. \ N Good manual machining and bench-fitting skills. \ N Ability to accurately work from engineering drawings. \ N Excellent attention todetail and accuracy. \ N A proactive, hands-on approach. \ N Good organisational andprioritisation skills. \ N 2–3+ years' relevant experience. \ N This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist engineering environment where traditional machining skills, precision and craftsmanship are highly valued. \ N Apply now for immediate consideration. \ N JBRP1_UKTJ
