  • Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-2:00pm

This is a varied, hands-on role focused on the manufacture, modification and improvement of tooling, fixtures, prototypes and production solutions within the automotive sector Toolmaker

Responsibilities

Manufacture, modify, repair and maintain press tools, forming tools, jigs and fixtures Build and prove tooling for new products and processes Diagnose tooling and production issues and develop effective solutions Work from engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications Carry out precision fitting, assembly and bench work Support machining, fabrication and tooling trials Work closely with design, CNC, production and maintenance teams Improve existing tooling to increase reliability, quality and output Toolmaker Experience: Recognised toolmaking/engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience Strong background in toolmaking, precision engineering or a similar environment Experience with press tools, forming tools, jigs and fixtures Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and fits Manual machining and precision fitting experience Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience proving or developing tooling on production machinery For more information on the Toolmaker position, contact Ewan at Stirling Warrington
