p strong Trade Control Analyst – Energy Trading /strong /p p strong International Energy Trading Firm /strong /p p strong Salary: /strong £55,000–£65,000 + bonus /p p strong Location: /strong London – Hybrid /p p br /p p We are supporting a leading international energy trading business in the search for a Trade Control Analyst to join their Operations function in London.

This is a great opportunity for a junior to early-career professional looking to build a career within Energy Trading. The role sits close to the trading activity, working alongside Trading and Operations teams and gaining broad exposure to the processes that support global energy markets. /p p br /p p We are particularly interested in candidates from Trade Control, Middle Office, Back Office or Energy Operations backgrounds.

Experience within Gas, Power or Emissions would be beneficial, alongside a good understanding of trade operations and the wider trade lifecycle. /p p br /p p strong Key Responsibilities /strong /p ul li Monitor trade activity and perform day-to-day operational controls /li li Investigate trade discrepancies, exceptions and operational issues /li li Support trade amendments and lifecycle events /li li Work closely with Trading and Operations teams to resolve issues /li li Identify and escalate potential operational risks /li li Ensure processes are followed and issues are taken through to resolution /li li Support improvements to operational processes and controls /li li Work with trade data and operational systems /li li Maintain a high level of accuracy across daily activities /li /ul p br /p p strong Required Experience /strong /p ul li Experience within Trade Control, Middle Office, Back Office or Operations /li li Exposure to Energy Markets is highly beneficial /li li Understanding of the trade lifecycle and how transactions move from booking through to settlement /li li Strong analytical and problem-solving skills /li li Excellent attention to detail /li li Proactive approach to investigating and resolving issues /li li Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment /li li Good Excel skills would be beneficial /li li Strong communication and interpersonal skills /li /ul p br /p p strong Desirable Experience /strong /p ul li Previous experience within an energy trading or commodity trading environment /li li Exposure to Gas, Power or Emissions markets /li li Experience working with trade data, reconciliations or operational controls /li li Familiarity with energy trading systems /li li An interest in developing a career within Energy Trading Operations /li /ul p br /p p strong The Opportunity /strong /p p This role would suit someone looking to take the next step in their career within Energy Trading Operations, offering the opportunity to work closely with front-office teams and develop a broad understanding of how trades are managed throughout their lifecycle.
