As a Middle Office Trading Services Associate (Bookrunner) in Interest Rates Exotics and Hybrids Middle Office, you support the trading desk by ensuring accurate trade capture, strong lifecycle controls, and timely risk and profit and loss insight.

You work hands-on with a wide range of interest rate foreign exchange, and financing products, including complex derivatives, structured issuance activity, and repo. You partner closely with trading, sales support, market risk, valuation, quantitative teams, and operations to reduce operational risk and enable efficient markets activity.

Job responsibilitiesControl accurate booking of trades in the risk management systemVerify executed transactions against term sheets, sales recaps, and broker confirmationsPerform daily reconciliations and investigate exceptions to resolutionMonitor and manage trade lifecycle events, including rate fixings and other contractual eventsReview confirmation documentation for accuracy and resolve discrepanciesRespond to trading desk queries on trade details, risk, and profit and loss driversAnalyze profit and loss and risk movements, and escalate issues with clear root-cause detailProduce risk exposure reporting for control and oversight partnersRun ad-hoc scenario analysis to support desk decision-making and risk understandingCoordinate with downstream partners (settlement, collateral, and finance) to ensure timely processingImprove controls and workflows through process enhancements and targeted automationRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsDemonstrated experience supporting trading activity in a middle office, trade support, or trading services environmentWorking knowledge of derivatives trade lifecycle processes, including booking, confirmations, and lifecycle eventsUnderstanding of interest rate and foreign exchange products, including linear and options-based structuresUnderstanding of financing products, including vanilla and structured repoAbility to interpret trade economics and explain key profit and loss and risk driversWorking knowledge of risk concepts (for example delta, gamma, vega, theta) and how they impact exposuresStrong control mindset with ability to follow and evidence a defined control frameworkProven ability to investigate breaks, identify root causes, and drive issues to closure under time pressureStrong attention to detail and data quality disciplineEffective written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging trading and control partnersWorking familiarity with regulatory reporting and controls relevant to derivatives markets (for example clearing and trade reporting requirements)Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience supporting exotic interest rate derivatives and structured issuance activityExperience producing or enhancing risk and exposure reporting for control partnersFamiliarity with scenario analysis and stress testing workflows used by trading desksExperience with workflow and data tools used for automation and analysis (for example Alteryx or Python)Exposure to model change testing, impact analysis, or validation support activitiesExperience partnering with quantitative, valuation, or model governance teams on control-related deliverablesDeveloping experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processesJ.P.
