Trainee Estimator

CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for a Trainee Estimator on behalf of our client based in Warrington, WA3 AREA. Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of quotations for multi-utility domestic and commercial projects under supervision
- Gather and organise technical and commercial information required to support accurate pricing
- Support the production of draft quotations and help ensure they are completed within agreed timescales
- Assist with obtaining points of connection and relevant network information
Help estimate variations and update pricing as project requirements change.
Support the formal handover of awarded projects to Design and Project Managers
Liaise with designers, the Pre-Construction Coordinator, and other internal teams to ensure estimates reflect the latest information
Assist with communication with clients and utility network operators as directed.
- Work closely with Senior Estimators and the Estimating Manager to learn best practice in multi-utility estimating
- Support quality checks on quotations and learn to identify common errors or missing information
- Develop understanding of pricing strategy, risk, and commercial considerations
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, revisions, and supporting documentation. With experience and continued development, the Trainee Estimator can progress towards roles such as:

Senior Estimator Progression will be based on demonstrated technical and commercial competence, experience, and the ability to work with increasing independence.
