Job Description A new opportunity is available for a Fine Art Freight Forwarding Agent (Trainee) to join an established specialist fine art logistics business based in Bagshot. This is an excellent opportunity for a college leaver or second jobber looking to start a long-term career within the fine art freight forwarding and logistics industry.
The successful candidate will join a busy and friendly team and will be involved in the day-to-day coordination of fine art shipments for private clients, galleries, dealers, artists and other industry professionals. Full training will be provided, so previous experience within fine art or freight forwarding is not essential.

Location: BagshotSalary: £20,000£25,000 per annum, depending on experienceWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am5:00pmAnnual Leave: 25 daysKey Duties & ResponsibilitiesEntering and maintaining accurate job and shipment information within the company's internal systemsSetting up new jobs and shipments from initial instruction through to completionLiaising with clients via email and telephoneCommunicating with suppliers, carriers and overseas agentsProviding professional and friendly customer serviceCoordinating with internal teams to ensure shipments are managed efficientlyAssisting with quotations, bookings and general shipment administrationMonitoring shipment progress and keeping clients updatedPreparing and maintaining relevant documentation and recordsFiling and general administrative dutiesWorking as part of a close-knit team to ensure all jobs are handled accurately and professionallyDeveloping an understanding of international freight forwarding, customs and fine art logisticsRequirementsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalConfident speaking with clients, suppliers and colleaguesGood attention to detail and strong organisational skillsConfident using computers and learning new systemsA positive, enthusiastic and professional attitudeWillingness to learn and develop new skillsHard-working, reliable and punctualFlexible and able to work effectively as part of a teamAble to easily commute to Bagshot, GU19...A full UK driving licence and access to a car is requiredPrevious experience in freight forwarding or fine art is advantageous but not essentialThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone at the beginning of their career who is keen to learn, develop and build a career within the specialist world of fine art logistics .
